Iranian director Esmail Monsef’s ‘Ardak’ has won an award at the 14th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) in Bangladesh.
‘Ardak’ took the Special Jury Award from the DIFF, which was held in Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh, from December 3-10.
The film, which is a product of the Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS), tells the story of a father waiting for the return of his son who left the country many years ago.
Monsef’s ‘Ardak’ has already grabbed the Best Interpretation Award from the Sose International Film Festival in Armenia.
The Dhaka International Film Festival is a biennial event held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
DIFF is one of the most prestigious film events in the country, dedicated to introducing mainstream global cinema to local filmmakers as well as to promote a healthy cine culture within Bangladesh.
